Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2013 test takers who are upset over their XAT scores can breathe a sense of relief. The XLRI director, Father E Abraham has told PaGaLGuY that if errors are found in evaluation, they will be rectified.”
Head of Admissions at XLRI, Prof Vishwa Ballab added that XLRI is committed in what it does and will take care of all the complaints. “We care for the applicants and if so many think there is an issue, we are willing to give it a re-think. We understand that candidates have studied all the year around for this, so we cannot leave this issue hanging.”
Prof Ballabh is possibly going to set up a committee ASAP to study and solve the issue. “All my admission officials are out of town. They are all coming back because of this issue and we will start work on it as early as tonight too if possible.”
The Admissions officials will also check the key since all the complaints seem to be only for the Quant section. “If needed, even the scanner will be called back to check the key,” informed Prof Ballabh.
“Give me 3-4 days to check this issue and get back. However candidates should also keep in mind negative marking while evaluating their own scores,” he further added.
Meanwhile, the affected candidates have been signing up an online petition on Change.org to push for re-evaluation of their marks. The last count to this petition was over 200.
Mukund Kabra, one such affected candidate who spoke to your website this morning said that he and the others who have signed the petition have faith that XLRI will do something since it preaches high ethical standards. “
