The Indian Certificate for Secondary Education (ICSE) is a national level board examination conducted by the Council for the Indian Certificate Secondary Education (CICSE). It is a private council that has been providing quality education and conducting free, fair and organised examinations in India for several years. The ICSE examination is conducted for the students of class 10 who are now gearing up for ICSE 2020.
While the preparation process has been started in full swing by the students, ICSE is yet to release the time table for the upcoming examination in 2020. Students will be able to access the time table from the official website of ICSE, once they have been released.
Last year, the time table for ICSE was published by the Council on 3rd December 2018. Students can thus expect that the time table for ICSE 2020 will be released by the first week of December 2019. The ICSE board exams last year were conducted between 22nd February to 25th March 2019.
Even though no official dates have been announced, there are several speculations around the dates of the examination as the time of examination is coming near. Tentatively, it can be considered that the examination will begin from the third week of February 2020. The exams should generally not exceed beyond the month of March.
Students or parents, whose children are preparing for the ICSE 2020 Board Exams, can refer to the time table of ICSE 2019. By going through the previous year’s time table, one can get a fair idea as to the timings of the examination, time limit allotted for every paper, etc.
It must be noted that for the exam, candidates will be provided 15 minutes as the reading time for going through the question paper. This time is not stated in the time table. Thus, candidates should reach the examination hall well before time so that they can utilise the reading time and not miss out on their writing time.
Until the time table is released, students must continue preparing for the examination. However, once the time table for ICSE 2020 is announced, students will be able to streamline their preparation process. The preparations then can be made according to the examination dates.
Further, as per the timing allotted for each examination, students should practice writing answers so that they finish their paper on time. In order to improve on their speed and quality of answers, candidates must prepare and appear for mock tests. They must time themselves will practising answering for the questions.
