The ICICI Fellows programme is a transformative leadership programme, launched in December 2009 by ICICI Foundation for Inclusive Growth, for high-achieving youth

between the ages of 21 to 28 years . The programme aims to provide Indias next generation of leaders with the experience and skills required to promote sustainable growth across the

nation.

In its inaugural year, the ICICI Fellows programme received 20,000 registrations and 2,000 applications. The participants selected last year are currently working nationwide with the

following host NGOs: Aajeevika Bureau (Rajasthan), Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (Gujarat & Bihar), Chaitanya (Maharashtra), Gram Vikas (Orissa), Krishi Gram Vikas

Kendra (Jharkand), Rajasthan Shram Sarathi Association (Rajashthan), Samarthan (Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh), Seva Mandir (Rajasthan) and Kshetriya Gramin Financial

Services (Tamil Nadu).

While sharing their experiences at a recent training programme for the ICICI Fellows designate Pooja Lapasia said, participating in the programme has changed the way I look

at things. Where I did not know about this sector I am gaining new insights each day. This fellowship opens doors to options, widens your scope and reach, everything seems feasible

now. Shailendra Mahani shares, Its neither a sacrifice nor a joy ride; its a journey where you work with real people and their real problems.

After only six months, the ICICI Fellows programme has already brought about a transformative impact on the current participants. ICICI Foundation for Inclusive Growth is

now selecting the 2nd batch of ICICI Fellows designate. The participants engage in a two- year intensive programme working on grassroots development projects with non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in rural India. These field level experiences are complemented with modules on management training and leadership development. Additionally, a mentor and coach support each participant.

Those selected receive a monthly stipend and medical insurance during the programme. Costs for travelling to the field sites and training programme venues will also be borne by

the programme. After successful completion of the programme, support including career counselling, professional networking and tie-ups with organisations seeking leadership talent

is also provided.

If you or anyone you know between the ages of 21 and 28 is interested in taking the bigger step toward leading your country, the ICICI Fellows programme is the ideal opportunity.
