IBSAT 2024
IBSAT is an online proctored exam conducted by The ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education. It evaluates students across several competencies, such as quantitative techniques, data interpretation, analytical reasoning, and verbal ability. It is scheduled for December 28 and 29, 2024. IBSAT serves as a single application for all IBS campuses offering MBA/PGPM programs.
Students with valid CAT, NMAT by GMAC™, XAT, or GMAT™ scores from 2022 onwards are exempt from taking the IBSAT exam.
Selection Process: Micro Presentation and Personal Interview
This year’s selection process introduces a new component—Micro Presentation, which will replace the Group Discussion. In this round, candidates are expected to deliver a concise talk showcasing their communication and presentation skills, ability to think on their feet, and ability to structure their thoughts effectively. Each candidate will select one topic from a set of three. They will have 4 minutes to complete the task—1 minute for preparation and 3 minutes for the presentation.
In addition to the Micro Presentation, candidates will undergo a Personal Interview. The interview is a critical part of the evaluation, focusing on the candidate’s attitude, communication skills, and clarity of thought. Past academic records and performance in both the Micro Presentation and the Personal Interview will form the basis of the final admission decision.
The selection process will occur from February 15 to 24, 2025, at IBS Hyderabad, ensuring a transparent and merit-based selection.
