The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) PO Preliminary Examination 2019 will be held on October 12, 13, 19, and 20, 2019. The duration of the examination is one hour, and usually, it is held in shifts every year. The first three shifts for today is already done.
The candidates that are yet to appear for the examination can go through this article to understand the type of questions asked in each shift to assess the difficulty level of the questions asked and their ability to solve them.
The candidates that have appeared for the examination have mentioned the difficulty level of the examination to be moderate and said that they were able to attempt around 68 to 75 questions out of the total of 100 questions asked in the examination. The examination consists of section-wise multiple-choice questions related to Reasoning Aptitude, Numerical Ability, and English Language.
The total duration to attempt the 100 questions will be 60 minutes. Candidates should note that there will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in the examination.

IBPS Prelims PO 2019: Shift 1 Analysis
- For the English Language section of shift 1, a total of 30 questions related to the topics of the Cloze Test, Error Detection, Word Swap, Sentence Improvement, and Reading Comprehension were asked, and the candidates said that difficulty level of the section was easy.
- For the Reasoning Aptitude section of the shift 1, a total of 35 questions related to the topics of Puzzle, Blood relation, Coding-Decoding, and Inequality were asked, and the candidates said that difficulty level of the section was easy-moderate.
- For the Numerical Ability (Maths) section of shift 1, a total of 35 questions related to the topics of Data Interpretation, Approximation, Arithmetic, and Quadratic equation were asked and the candidates said that difficulty level of the section was moderate.

- For the English Language section of the shift 3, a total of 30 questions related to the topics of Fillers, Error Detection, Re-arrangement of sentences, Sentence Improvement, and Reading Comprehension (CCTV based) were asked, and the candidates said that difficulty level of the section was easy.
- For the Reasoning Aptitude section of the shift 3, a total of 35 questions related to the topics of Puzzle, Basic, Chinese coding, and Direction, and Syllogism were asked, and the candidates said that difficulty level of the section was easy-moderate.
- For the Numerical Ability (Maths) section of the shift 3, a total of 35 questions related to the topics of Data Interpretation, Approximation, Arithmetic, and Missing series were asked, and the candidates said that difficulty level of the section was moderate.
