IIM Ahmedabad’s new cohort system of placements 2010 entered Cluster Two this weekend, featuring Indian investment banks, corporate leadership program and global FMCG operations.
“The second Cluster of the cohort-based final recruitment process began on February 19 evening to allow firms which wished to conduct group discussions enough time to do so before the interviews started on Saturday, February 20, said an IIM Ahmedabad press statement.
“Deloitte made 10 offers (including lateral offers) for consulting roles. Other regular recruiters like TAS and Feedback Ventures offered general management and consulting roles and hired six students each. Other recruiters on campus were Hindustan Unilever Limited, P&G;, American Express, Standard Chartered and Nestle,” it added.
“Apart from the offers extended today, Nestle SA also is in the process of exclusively hiring IIMA students for its International Management & Sales Training Programme,” it further said.
Added later: No IIMA student has been offered a Rs 1.44 crore salary by Deutsche Bank, claims the IIM Ahmedabad student blog. The offer was reported in an Economic Times story. According to IIM Ahmedabad, the report is factually incorrect.
