HPSC (Haryana Public Service Commission) came into existence under the provisions of Punjab Reorganization Act, 1966. It was in effect from 1st November 1966. It was formed to select the applicant for the civil service jobs in the Indian state of Haryana according to the merits and rules of reservation. The HPSC is the conducting body of the examination for the recruitment of civil service posts. And they have the right and ability to advise the government of Haryana about the recruitment for various jobs in the state, and matters relating to the transfers, promotion, etc of the civil servant of the state etc.
