Guys I wrote NMAT last week on 13th november. here I am giving some advise to you all, who are planning to give NMAT in upcoming days.
1. How to select the order of sections for attempt: at first attempt the section in which you score most in the mocks and you are confidant. A decent number of attempts at any time during exam always helps you attempting further questions.
2. Number of attempts in each section: As previous year’s cut-off shows more than 70 correct attempt will make you through the initial stage of selection. try to attempt more than 80 questions for all sections.
3. Questions to avoid in QA section: There are 48 questions in QA, and allotted time is 1 hr, it is almost impossible for all to attempt all 48 questions in a hour. you have to be very careful with the questions which ask the next logical term of the series and the what will at place of “?” questions. also try to avoid the DI question which involves big calculations.
4.Questions to avoid in LR section: as per my experience there are very simple questions in this section. but the comprehension based LR questions are tricky and they need time to solve them. try to solve them after you have attempted all other questions from the section.
5.Questions to avoid in VA section: Verbal section contains 32 questions and alloted time is 20 minutes. here also it is not possible to attempt all 32 questions in 20 minutes. try to solve RC questions at the end. and also dont waste much time on the parajumble questions.
