Haryana Power Utilities (HPU) is a joint name given to the resulting Haryana Government owned corporations:

1. Haryana Vidyut Prasasan Nigam Limited (HVPNL)
2. Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited (HPGCL)
3. Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited (UHBVNL)
4. Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited (DHBVNL)

The selection of the candidate is completed only on the basis of the GATE Score and there is no further rounds of selection. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national level entrance examination which is organized by IITs on rotational basis. It is a gateway to various PSUs for the recruitment of graduate engineers.

Cut off is the minimum marks required to qualify the competitive examination and is the key tool to enhance the motivation in the students to begin the preparation in the right direction. It is essential to achieve good score in the competitive examination. GATE cut off is derived from GATE scores for the admission to M. Tech and PhD programs. However, it should be noted that the GATE qualifying cut off is different from the admission cut off. The admission cut off is published by the institutes individually.
