Municipal Corporation or GMC in short is the local government in Guwahati. GMC was formed in the year 1971 by the Guwahati
Municipal Corporation Act, 1969. The Corporation was duly constituted in
1974 in the first meeting of the elected councillors as per provision of Sec.45
of this Act.
The Guwahati Municipal
Corporation has invited candidates for the Office Assistant positions. The
details of these vacancies are as follows :
Post : Office Assistant
No. of vacancies : 40
Remuneration (in Rs. Per month) : 10,000/-
Maximum age limit (as on 01-01-2015) : Candidate should not
be more than 35 years old.
Essential qualification : Candidate should possess a
graduation degree in any stream.
Candidate should have completed one year computer diploma with
the knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, Power Point.
Candidate should be able to type in English & Assamese.
Method of selection : Selection of the candidate will be
done as per the norms of GMC.
