A guest lecture was organized by ITM Business School, Kharghar, on 7th of March’2017 for the Operations and SCM Batch. The speaker for the session was Mr. Arvind Bodhankar, Chief Sustainability Officer from TATA Motors. The topic of the session was “Supply Chain Sustainability”.
We were highly obliged to have Mr. Arvind Bodhankar in our campus. It was an honour for us to have him with us and sharing with us, his findings, and opinions.
I am glad to mention our deep sense of appreciation for his explanation of sustainability, in which he covered three key points which are People, Planet, and Profit. He further demonstrated the sustainable practices in TATA as well as examples of other industries. The case studies discussed in the lecture were of great importance and contributed to increase our knowledge in the subject. He even covered the recent market and environmental scenario and the steps taken towards them. Moreover his linkage to our theoretical knowledge to his practical knowledge was very beneficial.
I am even thankful to Murty sir on behalf of Operations batch 2016-18 for adding on his points and moreover giving us this opportunity and a platform to learn by inviting Mr. Arvind Bodhankar.
