Kurukshetra, organised by the students of the CEG Tech Forum will be a four day action packed affair, with mind boggling range of contests, workshops and what not! For the first time, Engineering and Management students have come together to organise a joint technical + management festival. So no matter what your line of interest is, there’s something for everyone @ Kurukshetra. And the prizes are seen to be believed.
Unlike other ordinary technical festivals, Kurukshetra has some unique management-oriented events.
Event 1 B-Plan
·The Kurukshetra Business Plan Competition, the big one among our Management events will span over two days and is conducted in two rounds.
·In the first round, participants would be submitting a preliminary executive summary which will be evaluated by a eminent panel of judges.
·The last date for submitting your executive summary is 15th of December.
·Selected entries will have to be presented in the form of a ‘Power Point Presentation’ on the day of the event.
And all you wanna be entreprenuers, we suggest you make the best use of this opportunity! And remember the prizes are seen to be believed.

Then there is the traditional Marketing Challenge.
·Participants are required to come up with specific marketing/ advertising strategies for a general products (Big ticket, FMCG at al).
·The shortlisted teams will spend the next two days in the college premises on advertising their product by every possible means – direct marketing, skits & so on.
·Idea is, Particpants should tell and sell. They have to be convinced enough for people to buy their product.The ends justify the means!
·Teams are judged based on the innovation and creativity in the final showdown.
And remember the prizes are seen to be believed.

Event 3 Dalal Bull
And What is a business event without Stock markets!!!
·Take part in the Dalal Bull, a stock market simulation!!!
·Dont worry, We will train you on the nuances of the stock market business beforehand.
·Once the game starts, the market dictates how you buy and sell
·The most astute trader carries home the goodies.

Business Quiz:
You never know, one of the questions could be “Who is the founder of Pagalguy?”
But then life is not all that easy at Kurkushetra Bizz quiz! We have two different quizzes lined up wherein you will be competing with the other quizzers to be the crowned the ‘King/ Queen Quizzer’. This Business Quiz is conducted jointly by quiz masters Dr. Naveen Jeyakumar and Gopal Kidau & Team(of The Landmark quiz and The Acumen quiz fame). We welcome all the geeks, trivia maniacs and quiz freaks and reward them too!

The Kurukshetra open quiz is truly open; as the song goes, “We don’t care who you are, what you do, where you’re from, as long as you quiz!” Age 7 or 70, the open quiz is a grand platform for any and everyone to dash off answers to the most eclectic questions imaginable. The open quiz is also conducted by the famous duo, and will be one of the highlights of the four-day technical fest.
Online programming contest
Inputs, Outputs and You describes Kurukshetra’s online programming contest in a nutshell. Come join programming enthusiasts from all parts of the country, as they grind their brains to the task of coding the right solution to some mind-boggling problems in three hours; all with a computer program acting as an impartial judge in the background. Results could be decided by nanosecond differences, so if you’re brave enough, come byte this challenge! The OPC event is on December 31, 2006.
The Management events are only a small share of the entire gamut of events that are lined up. We promise that even attending and observing Kurukshetra from a distance will be an exhilarating experience . The conch is blown, and the sateg is ready. May the battle begin!
