Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
ISME is the pioneer institute offering real time project expertise using six sigma methodology leading to Black Belt Certification as a part of its unique Curriculum designed & taught by alumni from CMU, Purdue, Wharton, IIT’s, IIM’s and other leading top institutes. According to Prof. Ramesh Tagat, Academic Mentor at ISME and former Professor at IIM Bangalore, “This is a distinct professional orientation to a unique academic program at ISME“.
The Director Mr Nitin Garg is an IIT Bombay alumnus and has an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University, USA.
- Duration: ISME’s program has a very unique format and is of one and half year duration on the lines of many European management schools. Six term course delivery methodology with each term of eight week duration with five courses covered in every term. This allows students a mix of focused and broad based learning experience. This course design also adopts many features of management schools like Harvard and CMU.
- Another unique feature of ISME is that the courses are very industry focused and have been accredited by NRBPT, Ministry of Industries and Commerce, Govt. of India.
- The PGPM course is designed with an objective to provide the basic management knowledge needed for entry to mid-level executives. There is also a strong focus on skill building like communication and personality. Further, students specialize in a functional area and in some industries within the functional area so that they can align themselves to industry requirements.
Student Life
ISME’s vibrant student community has a lot of opportunities to learn beyond the classroom. Students can lead and participate in Academic, Social and Literary clubs. Student clubs and extra curricular activities enhance student interactions and foster the development of a wholesome personality providing a solid framework for life-long success.
The social club provides an outlet to the ISME community to come together for cricket matches, Diwali and other functions.
The literary club brings out a bi-monthly magazine ‘ExCEL’ (Excellence in Culture, Education and Leadership). The latest newsletter of ISME (http://www.isme.in/Data/Excel_Mag_Nov_2007.doc ) will give you the information about Life @ISME during Oct and Nov 2007.
