From today (January 4), candidates can download their GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) admit cards from the official GATE portal (http://appsgate.iitr.ac.in/). As mentioned in the announcements on the official GATE portal, the admit cards are released a day earlier.
To download the admit card, candidates will require their enrolment ID and password, and solve a simple math question, like 4+2. Once they give the correct information, they will redirected to their account and they can download the admit card.

GATE is jointly conducted by the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, and the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). This year, it will be organised by IIT Roorkee.
In 2016, about eight lakh candidates registered for GATE, which is the gateway to post-graduate courses at engineering colleges, and the eligibility criteria for jobs at Public Service Undertakings across the country.
