The Foreign Service Institute or FSI in New Delhi has announced for a new recruitment opportunity. Candidates can go through the detailed notification and check out the details. Applications are also open for the same once the candidates check the eligibility needed for the recruitment.
Foreign Service Institute falls within the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India and is the main institute where all officers for Indian Foreign Services are trained. Indian diplomats are trained here for about a year in various areas such as international relations and Indian Foreign policy.
They are subsequently given a posting under the Ministry of External Affairs and sent to other countries. FSI also provides several opportunities for recruitment from time to time.
According to the new Job Notification by the Foreign Service Institute, New Delhi, applications for the Faculty Posts can be made by interested and eligible candidates. The applications made at FSI will be in an offline mode. Candidates will have to follow the format as prescribed by the FSI. The last date for making the application is 31st October, 2019.
There will be a very strong competition with only 2 posts available for recruitment as a Faculty at Foreign Service Institute, New Delhi. Before making the application, it is extremely important that candidates make sure to thoroughly go through the eligibility criteria for the post. If in any way, a candidate does not check all the boxes for the eligibility, the application will be rejected.

Interested candidates can check the eligibility criteria for faculty posts at FSI. The eligibility criteria are as follows –
- The applicant should be of Indian Nationality.
- Applicants should hold a PhD degree in any of the following subjects :
- Political Science
- International Relations
- History
- Management
- International Law
- Economics
- Any other field related to these subjects
The PhD should from a university recognised by the government of India.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in teaching or conducting research is necessary for an applicant.
- The maximum age for applying as faculty at FSI is 65 years.
Once candidates match the eligibility criteria, they can make an application. In order to make the application, candidates will have to strictly adhere to the guidelines prescribed by Foreign Service Institute. The guideline is available on the website of FSI.

The application should be in an envelope containing the list of following documents –
- A bio data with details about educational qualification, areas of expertise, details of the publication and prior work experience.
- Self attested copy of educational certificates
- Self attested copy of Mark sheets from undergraduate level onwards.
Candidates thus will be shortlisted after reviewing the applications. A few short listed candidates will then invited for an interview on the basis on which the recruitment will be made.
