The highest domestic salary in recruitments was Rs 19 lakh per annum and Microsoft India offered this remuneration to a student from the MBA course. The highest domestic salary in last seasonas recruitments was Rs 26 lakh per annum and this translates to a reduction of 27 percent.
Recruiting firms
The top recruiters of the process included Standard Chartered Bank, Citibank, Microsoft India, Hindustan Unilever Limited and TAS. First time recruiters at FMS included firms such as Barings PE, Wrigleyas, Larsen & Toubro Ltd. and E&Y; Dubai. In total, 31 new companies visited the campus from all the major domains. This included a high number of Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and this was a shift from previous year recruitments. FMCG firms such as Britannia and Wrigleyas chose to recruit only from FMS.
Sector wise placements
MBA program: The highest number of job offers accepted was from the Finance sector (49 percent) with Marketing (26 percent) contributing to the second highest percentage of job offers accepted. General Management & Consulting and IT consulting provided 12 percent and six percent of recruitment offers respectively.
MBA MS: Marketing provided the maximum number of job offers for students with 44 percent of graduates accepting offers from this sector. Finance (34 percent), General Management (10 percent) and Consulting (12 percent) provided the remaining job offers.
