GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) 2020 online application process started on 2nd September 2019 and was supposed to end by 30th October 2019. However, when the applications were opened for candidates in Jammu and Kashmir, they claimed that many couldn’t apply for the examination that would take place during the month of February 2020 due to internet connectivity issues.
Due to this inconvenience caused to the candidates, the application date for online registration for the exam has now been extended up to 8th November 2019. The actual reason behind shutting down the applications in Jammu and Kashmir was due to the complete lockdown that took place in the state. Due to this, most of the candidates in the state couldn’t apply.
