Standing true to its mission to shape
global leaders of tomorrow, IMI, New Delhi started the Executive PGDM program
in 1984 with the aim to help the experienced middle level managers to propel
their respective career forward by providing the skill set to take on more
challenging leadership roles in organizations. This 15-month program has
received both AICTE and AMBA accreditations. Moreover, the curriculum has been
designed keeping the industry purview in mind and endeavors to impart both
general management and functional area orientation to the participants.
The program requires for all the
aspirants with a valid CAT score from 2012 onwards which possess at least 5
years of post-qualification work experience and further provides the options to
both self-sponsored and corporate sponsored candidates in addition to defense
personnel and entrepreneurs. Also, participants with a valid GMAT score taken
any time between January 1, 2011 and December 31, 2015 are also eligible to
apply.
Moreover, in this global age wherein the
world is becoming smaller day by day, this 85.5 credit course provides an
option to its participants to pursue a five week International Study Module
wherein the participants would be required to collaborate with institutes,
visit industries and to interact with industry veterans as well. The other
variant of the program provides an option to pursue three months of field
research project at the end of the course and includes interaction with several
industry veterans.
IMI, New Delhi imparts unconditional
focus to academics and hence in tandem with the above, it follows a case based
learning pedagogy. The ninety minutes class also endeavors to provide the participants
an experiential learning environment and provides avenues for both personal and
professional growth in a rigorous and interactive learning environment.
The course imparts extensive focus to the
development of analytical skills in the participants to foster effective
decision-making skills in them. Further, acknowledging its responsibility
towards the society, IMI, New Delhi endeavors to create socially sensitive and
ethical leaders who will become global leaders in the future and attain top
leadership positions in the organization.
The program includes courses like
Business Analytics, Quality Management and Business Forecasting that would
enable the participants to get a complete purview of the trends prevalent in
the industry. Moreover, the applications for the batch of May 2016-17 have been
released and the course is all set to commence in May 2016. The selection
process would consist of two rounds wherein the first round would deal with
shortlisting based on the relevant scores and the second round would involve
Personal Interview which is tentatively scheduled to be held in February 2016.
