SUMMIT, the IT cell of Narsee Monjee Institute of Management studies (NMIMS), for the first time in the history of the institute held “eLuminate”, which focussed on bringing up issues of academic and business relevance in the “e” domain. This year’s theme was “e-governance”. It was held on the 19th of November at Inter-Continental –The Grand, Mumbai.
“eLuminate” saw a host of speakers from diverse backgrounds discussing the role of “e-governance” and the dilemmas facing the governments in implementing the same. The event hosted speakers from the government, the corporate and NGOs who spoke about their perspectives, expectations and vision on e-Governance. The speakers includedMr Prasad Rangnekar ,VP, CMC Ltd, Mr. Suresh Mhatre, Principal Consultant, TCS,Mr. Yazad Zal-CEO praja Foundation,Mr. Ashok Dattar freelance consultant,Mr. Rajiv Vaishnav, Director (Western Region- NASSCOM)
As a part of this event, eLucidate , the paper writing competition of eLuminate was held the topic being “Effective Implementation Models for ITprojects in the government” with participants from B-Schools from all over the nation. The winners of the contest also presented their views at the seminar.
The seminar ended with a concluding address by Mr. Chirag Unadkat, Faculty at NMIMS and also the CEO of Wesra Technologies Inc.
