Delhi Boy Deepanshu Jindal has secured the top spot in JEE Main 2016 after the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the ranks for JEE Main on June 23, 2016. Jindal had secured an All India Rank of 53 in JEE Advanced 2016.
He got an aggregate of 98.6% in Class 12 CBSE exams, scoring full marks in physics and mathematics. He is the school topper. “I am very happy with my performance, though I never thought I would secure the top spot. Now that I have also done well in the Advanced stage, I want to pursue Computer Science Engineering in IIT Bombay,” said, Jindal.
Gurgaon boy Pratyush Maini secured the second spot in JEE Main, while the third position was bagged by Rajesh Bansal.
CBSE declared the All India Ranks of all candidates who took the exam on April 3, 9 or 10, 2016. CBSE has compiled the results by giving 60% weightage to the JEE Main score and 40% weightage to the Class 12 Board Exam Score.
