Minimum educational qualifications required: (except for Music)

(a) Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree, with at least 55 % marks or an equivalent grade, in a relevant subject from a recognised Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

 (b) Candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or a similar test accredited by the UGC.

For Asst. Professor (MUSIC) -Vocal (01) & Sitar (02) 

(a) Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree, with at least 55 % marks or an equivalent grade, in a relevant subject from a recognised Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

(b) Candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR, or similar test accredited by the UGC.

OR

Candidate must be a traditional and a professional artist with highly commendable professional achievement in the concerned subject, who should have studied under noted/ reputed traditional masters and have thorough knowledge to explain the subject concerned, must be a high grade artist of AIR/TV and must have the ability to explain the logical reasoning of the subject concerned and adequate knowledge to teach theory with illustrations in that discipline.

For SC/ST and PwD category candidates, there is a 5% relaxation in the minimum marks required.

Remuneration

Rs.15600-39100 with academic grade pay Rs.6000/- plus usual allowances.
