“The relationship will promote joint faculty research, joint case writing, reciprocal exchange programs for graduate students, collaborative executive education programs, the invitation of scholars for participation in conferences and lectures and licensing of publishing materials,” said Darden’s official statement.
Peter Rodriguez, Darden’s associate dean for international affairs mentioned China and India as two emerging economic powers and the need to learn more about Indian businesses and ways to grow in Indian markets, as per the release. “Through the collaboration withXLRI , we will offer students and faculty the access to the latest research and innovative thinking in India as well as the global marketplace,” the release quoted him as saying.
The release also stated that Indian applicants are the largest market for Darden’s program. The school already has tie-ups with Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (China), London Business School (U.K.), IESE Business School (Spain), UniversitA Bocconi (Italy), HEC School of Management (France), Melbourne Business School (Australia), Rotterdam School of Management (Netherlands) and Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, added the release.
