1. India win Women’s Hockey World League Round Two
i. India lifted the Women’s Hockey World League Round Two competition title by defeating Poland by 3-1 in the final Major Dhyan Chan stadium in New Delhi last night.
ii. The win even marked India making a clean sweep in the tournament by winning each of the six matches played over the last week.
iii. Both teams have already qualified for the World League Round Three of the competition.
2. Ashu Suyash to be next CEO of CRISIL
i. CRISIL announced today that Ashu Suyash will be the next Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of CRISIL.
ii. She is currently CEO of L&T Investment Management in CRISIL and will join as a CEO on June 1, 2015
iii. Suyash succeeds Roopa Kudva, who has been at the helm of Crisil since 2007.

3. Ajit Kumar Rath new ED for Andhra Bank
i. Ajit Kumar Rath has joined Andhra Bank as an Executive Director.
ii. Before the present assignment, Rath had served as General Manager (IT) and chief information officer in Union Bank of India.
4. Abid Ali Neemuchwala appointed as President & COO of Wipro
i. Wipro Ltd has appointed Abid Ali Neemuchwala as its Group President and Chief Operating Officer, effective April 1.
ii. Currently he was head of the business process services globally in Tata Consultancy Services.
5. Lewis Hamilton wins Australia Grand Prix
i. Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton won the Australian Grand Prix title.
ii. Hamilton led from start to finish and beat his teammate Nico Rosberg by 1.3 seconds at the Albert Park circuit, with Sebastian Vettel finishing third in his first race for Ferrari.
iii. Force India drivers Nico Hulkenberg and Sergio Perez were seventh and 10th in a good finish by a team which made a very late start to its season preparations.
6. Services clinched Santosh Trophy football title
i. Services defeated the hosts Punjab by 5-4 in the final to lift the 69th Santosh Trophy football title.
ii. In the final match both teams failed to score a goal in regulation period. But, in tie-breaker penalty shootout all the five players of Services including Captain Anthony, Arun Tudu, Vibin, Francis Zonuntulnga and Rakesh Singh scored goal which led them to victory.
iii. Services have now won the title for the fourth time besides finishing
runners up on five occasions.
iv. Santosh Trophy is named after the late Maharaja Sir Manmatha Nath
Roy Chowdhary of Santosh (that is now in Bangladesh).
7. Kidambi Srikanth won Swiss Grand Prix Gold
Title
i. Indian shuttler Kidambi Srikanth won
Swiss Grand Prix Gold Title on Sunday.
ii. In the final Srikanth defeated defending
champion Viktor Axelsen of Denmark by 21-15, 12-21, 21-14.
iii. This is the
first time an Indian male has won the title after compatriot Saina Nehwal
clinched back-to-back women’s singles crowns in 2011 and 2012.
iv. This is
Srikanth’s, first title of the year after losing the India Open Grand Prix Gold
final in Lucknow in January followed by a first round exit from All England
earlier this month.
