EXAM PATTERN
- PAPER 1
The candidates who wish to teach for grade 1 to 5 will be appearing for paper 1 of the CTET. Paper 1 examination is conducted for 150 marks and the duration of the examination is 2 hours and 30 mins. All the questions are choice-based questions. There are 5 subjects and each subject carry 30 marks each. The subjects are as follows
- Child Development and Pedagogy
- Language 1
- Language 2
- Mathematics
- Environmental Science
The exam is scheduled to take place from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm on December 8.
- PAPER 2
The paper 2 examination is conducted for the candidates who wants to teach classes 6 to 8. It is also a 150 marks examination where the candidates have to prepare for 5 subjects. The subjects are
- Child Development and Pedagogy
- Language 1
- Language 2
- Mathematics and Science
- Social Studies
The first 3 subjects is for 30 marks each, whereas Mathematics and Science and Social Studies will be for 60 marks each. The paper 2 examination will be held from 2:00 to 4:30 pm on December 8, 2019.
