As per the latest updates, the registrations for CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test (CSIR UGC NET) will be closed today, i.e. 9th October 2019 by the National Testing Agency. The process for the online applications commenced on 9th September 2019, and after almost one month, it is closing on 9th October 2019.
The CSIR UGC NET 2019 exam will be conducted by National Testing Agency in the month of December 2019. Only those candidates who will be completing their online registrations before the scheduled closure will be allowed to appear for the exam.
If the candidates have not yet completed the online application process, they must do so at the earliest by logging on to the official website of the National Testing Agency, i.e. www.csirnet.nta.nic.in. The last date for payment of registration fees is 10th October 2019, and the payments can be made till 11.50 PM through Debit Card/ Credit Card/ UPI/ Net Banking.
Candidates belonging to the general category will have to pay an admission fee of Rs. 1000/- while the registration fee for candidates belonging to OBC category is Rs. 500. For candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD the registration fee is Rs. 250.
Corrections in the application form can be made on the official website only between 18th October 2019 to 25th October 2019. After the corrections have been completed, admit cards will be available for download from the official website from 9th November 2019 onwards.

Candidates need to follow the below-mentioned steps to complete their application process online.
- Log on to the official website i.e. csirnet.nta.nic.in
- Click on the link “Apply Online.”
- Now, click on the link “Register Here.”
- Now, enter the correct details in the relevant input fields and click on the “Submit” button.
- Use the registration details to log-in to the application portal.
- Enter the relevant details, upload your picture and signature.
- Pay registration fees.
- Download the copy of the application form and keep it safe for future reference.
CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test 2019: Important Details
The CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test has been scheduled by the NTA on 15th December 2019. The result of the exam will be declared on 31st December 2019. Selected candidates, who clear the written examination, will be recruited for Assistant Professorship/ Junior Research Fellowship and Eligibility Lectureship (LS). The subjects for which these candidates will be selected are Earth Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Life Sciences, Chemical Sciences, and Physical Sciences.
