The CSIR – Institute of Himalayan Bioresource Technology (CSIR – IHBT) has invited interested candidates for a walk-in interview for the posts of Junior Research Fellows and Project Fellows under CSIR Networked Projects on temporary basis. The details of the posts are as follows:
Post No. of vacancies Stipend (per month)
1. Junior Research Fellow 01 Rs. 16,000 pm + HRA
2. Project Fellow 07 Rs. 14,000 pm
Essential qualifications:
Post No. 1 – Candidates must possess an M.Sc in Biotechnology/ Genetics/ Biochemistry/ Life Science with at least 55% marks and should have qualified the CSIR UGC – NET/LS Exam.
Post No. 2 – Candidates must possess an M.Sc in Life Science/ Molecular Biology/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry with at least 55% marks.
Age limit – Candidates must be at most 28 years of age. The upper age limit is relaxable for candidates belonging to SC/ST and OBC categories by 5 years and 3 years respectively.
Contract Period – The tenure of the contract will be till the completion of the respective project.
How to apply – Interested candidates are expected to appear for the walk in interview on the date, time and venue along with the application form in the prescribed format (as given on the website www.ihbt.res.in) Candidates are expected to bring attested photocopies of testimonials of their age, qualification, experience, etc. along with their original certificates.

Both the interviews will be held at the CSIR – IHBT, Palampur, Himachal Pradesh.
