The move to upload JEE Mains 2016 OMR sheets and answer keys has opened a Pandora’s Box. Students, who took the pen-and-paper mode of Mains 2016, complained of errors in all the four sets of question papers. Yesterday, when PaGaLGuY spoke to a senior official at Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the authorities which conduct JEE Mains, he bluntly refused such claims and said that the paper was error-free. Today the faculty members of coaching institutes have come out in support of the students and stated that the paper indeed is full of errors.
Shishir Mittal, Head of Chemistry Department, Resonance Eduventures, Kota, said, “There were plenty of mistakes in the question papers. We have prepared a list of such ambiguous questions.” He pointed out more than ten questions in the JEE Mains 2016 offline paper, which were either unclear or inaccurate.
