Results of the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) September 2012 held by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) will be declared tomorrow. The exact time is however not yet available and we wil update this article once we get to know.
The results will contain total marks as well as the All India Rank (AIR) obtained by candidates in the exam. If AICTE sticks to its earlier format of declaring results, applicants would be able to access the results by logging on to the CMAT website with their username and password. This would lead them to the results webpage where they would need to enter their roll numbers to get the results.
“A total of 60000 candidates had registered for the September version of CMAT, out of which a total of 48000 appeared for the final test”, SS Mantha, Chairman, AICTE told PaGaLGuY.
A few candidates complained of technical glitches while appearing for the exam. When questioned about these issues, the chairman said that the council has formed a committee to probe the issue. However, there was no word on the findings by this committee.
A number of state university affiliated management institutes including those in Maharashtra, Kerala and Rajasthan will consider CMAT scores for admissions. The council has also released a list of b-schools who will be accepting CMAT scores for admissions. “Candidates can attempt the test both in September and January. B-schools will accept best of the two scores,” Mantha said. The reason behind this step is to provide candidates with an opportunity to improve upon their scores if their first attempt is not up to the mark.
