Central Industrial Security Force Vacancies
The Central Industrial Security Force has invited applications for the Constable (tradesmen) posts in various categories. There are a total of 914 vacancies, including backlogs in various fields including for the trade of cook, cobbler, barber, washerman, carpenter, sweeper, painter, mason, plumber, mali and electrician.
The posts are available for both skilled and non-skilled trades. The notification is for the post of temporary constable and for Indian male citizens only. The posts are temporary, but there are chances that they will be made permanent in the future. Additionally once selected candidates will be required to service all over India and even abroad if there is requirement.
The recruitment process
The recruitment process is very straight forward. Applicants will have to attend 6 rounds of examination as a part of the recruitment process.

- Trade Test
- Written exam
- Detailed medical examination
The entire application process and the written examination are offline. The written test will be conducted in OMR pattern and the various tests will be held at various recruitment centres. The examination process will be conducted in three stages: first is the PET, PST and trade test.
Next the candidates are to attend the written examination and the final stage is the detailed medical examination. For every stage eligible candidates will be provided with admit card or call letters which have to be carried with the candidate to attend the test.
Application procedure
The application procedure for the examination is very simple and offline. Candidates can download and fill in the application form along with the application fee in the form of a postal order to the respective officer according to the region where the candidate resides.
For candidates belonging to the UR, EWS and OBC categories the application fee is Rs.100/- For all other candidates no application fee is charged. Eligibility criteria
- The vacancies are only for Indian male candidates
- Educational qualifications required are matriculation or equal from a recognized board. For skilled trade posts Industry Training Institute candidates will be preferred.
- Age limit is 18 to 23 years, as of 10-08-2019. Age relaxation is available for
- SC/ST – 5 years relaxation for upper age limit
- BC – 3 years relaxation for upper age limit
