According to the UK government official website, changes to the immigration rules announced on November 3 will come into effect for all visa applications made today onward, unless stated otherwise. It will be implemented for all certificates of sponsorship allotted by Tier 2 sponsors on or after today.
The Tier 2 (General) salary limit for experienced workers will be increased to £25,000, taking into consideration certain exemptions.Also, the Tier 2 (Intra-Company Transfer) salary threshold for short term staff will be raised to £30,000. On the contrary, the Tier 2 (Intra-Company Transfer) graduate trainee salary limit will be hereon decreased to £23,000, while the number of places will be increased to 20 per company, every year. Besides, the Tier 2 (Intra Company Transfer) skills transfer sub-category will be closed.
