The UGC CBSE NET 2017 was divided into three sections viz. viz. Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III.

  • UGC CBSE NET 2017 Exam Review:

Majority of candidates who attempted the UGC CBSE NET 2017 for the first time found Paper-1 easy, when compared to the difficulty level of the other two papers. “Paper-I had questions based on interpersonal communication, General Knowledge, Verbal Ability, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning. I personally did not find Paper-1 challenging. However with moderate difficulty level, Paper-II and III for Mass Communication and Journalism were on the expected lines.” said Megha Mehta, who attempted the exam from Mumbai.

Paper-II consisted of 50 objective type compulsory questions based on the subject selected by the candidate and each question carries 2 marks. The paper-III of CBSE NET consisted of 75 objective type questions from the subject selected by the candidate.

Another candidate Rohan Deshmukh, who took the UGC NET January 2017 exam from Pune, found Paper-I and Paper II  tough. “I had cleared the NET Exam in January 2016, however, i gave this attempt in pursuit of the Junior Research Fellowship. Paper-I was scoring, however, Paper-II and Paper III were difficult than previous years. I hope the cut-off for JRF will not go high.”
