CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education), is a national level school tutoring body which conducts the higher secondary and secondary certificate exams, said the practical exam will be held from 1st January 2020 to 7th February 2020 in respective schools. The board also said that the theory papers of skill subjects may commence from 15th February following 2019 practice. The CBSE board exams for both the 10th and 12th standard main papers are expected to be held in March and April.

In a circular addressed to the Head and Principals of all schools joined to the board relating to the conduct of practical exams and internal or project assessment, the CBSE has asked all the schools to follow certain measures “to ensure that practical exams are conducted before the exam and in spirit and letter”.

Schools will conduct practical exams and project assessments from 1st January 2020 to 7th February 2020, the board said. The board also asked the schools to upload the results on the link provided immediately after the assessment is over.
While uploading results, schools will ensure that correct marks are uploaded as no correction in the marks will be allowed once marks are uploaded. Schools also should keep in mind maximum marks allotted for project/practical while uploading/awarding marks, the board said.
The practical exam and project assessment will be done in the respective schools. There will be an internal examiner as well as an external examiner, as per past practice, the board added.
The circular also asked the schools to ensure that the practical are conducted by the external examiners appointed by the CBSE only. An observer will also be appointed by the board who will supervise conduct project assessment and practical exam, the circular of the board said.
CBSE will also provide the App to the schools for uploading a group photo of each batch during the practical exam. A Group photo should consist of all the candidates of the batch, internal and external examiner and observer. All the faces should be clearly visible in the photo. The photo should be taken in the lab where practical exams are being held and the lab should be seen clearly in the photograph.
