“On 8 December (Day 11), CAT 2009 will be held over one morning session in 20 cities. These cities are: Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Gurgaon, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, New Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, Pune and Varanasi”.
Hence, the CAT online test, that was supposed to culminate on December 7, 2009 will extend to another slot on December 8, 2009 to accommodate the candidates that were unable to take their tests on their scheduled dates.
The communication channel has also improved its communication channel by increasing the hours of their candidate care services (1800 103 9293), added more candidate care agents and more telephone lines. From December 3, 2009, the candidate care services will be available from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm everyday till the end of the testing period.
Apologising for the CAT fiasco, Mr Ramesh Nava, Vice President & General Manager, Asia Pacific, Japan & Africa, Prometric said, We understand and regret the additional stress and inconvenience caused to candidates who have not been able to test on their scheduled day due to technical difficulties. We are working with the IIMs to add an additional session on Day 11 to accommodate them within the city they were originally scheduled.
