Its good news for MBA aspirants who could not submit the online application for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2019. The CAT 2019 is scheduled to be conducted on November 24, 2019. CAT is an entrance test conducted to assess the eligibility of candidates for admissions into various Indian Institute of Management and Business schools across India.
The examination will be a CBT (computer-based test). Every year, a specific IIM (Indian Institute of Management) organizes the CAT examination. This year, however, IIM Kozhikode is organizing the Common Aptitude Test (CAT) 2019.
Initially, the last date for the submission of the online application was decided to be September 18, 2019. However, IIM Kozhikode has now extended the timeframe to submit the online application form for CAT 2019 by a week. This means that the revised last date for the candidates to apply for CAT 2019 is on September 25, 2019.
Candidates can submit the application form and make the payment for the application fee until 5 pm on September 25, 2019. The online application link available on the official website iimcat.ac.in will be deactivated post the above mentioned time.
The total duration of the CAT examination will be 180 minutes (3 hours). The examination pattern consists of three sections, namely: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), and the final one being Quantitative Ability (QA).
Total duration to attempt each section will be one hour, and candidates cannot switch between sections, they need to attempt one section at a time in the specified order only. The application fee for General category candidates is Rs 1900 whereas, for candidates eligible for reservation, it is Rs 950. Candidates must note that the payment for the application fee can be made only through online mode.

CAT 2019: How to apply
MBA aspirants can now apply for CAT 2019 until September 25, 2019. The last date for online application earlier was until September 18, 2019. Candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps to apply online for CAT 2019.
Step 1: Visit the official website: iimcat.ac.in
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the ‘Register’ option to register on the website
Step 3: Enter the required personal information in the space provided to register
Step 4: Once registration is done, login credentials will be sent via email and SMS, save it for further use
Step 5: Log in using the provided credentials and fill in the application form with the required information
Step 6: Upload scanned copies of the required images and documents
Step 7: Make the payment for the application fee through the preferred online mode such as NetBanking, Debit Card, Credit Card
Step 8: Upon successful payment, a confirmation message will be sent through email and SMS, save it for further use
