The registration for the common admission test has begun and the students who are willing and eligible to apply and do so on the official IIM website.
The common Admission Exam is a computerized exam which is conducted by the IIM to select students for various management courses. Apart from IIM other universities also conducts CAT 2019 exams to admit students to their institution but they can do so only if their institute is listed in the official IIM website.

The basic eligibility to register for the CAT exams is a bachelor degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% from a recognized institution. The minimum mark is 45% in case the candidate belongs to SC or ST.
In order to complete the registration for the CAT 2019 exam, the candidates have to pay Rs 1900 fee amount. If the candidate belongs to SC or ST category, then he/she will be charged Rs.950 as registration fee.
The seat reservation for the examination will be as follows:
- SC candidates – 15%
- ST candidates – 7.5%
- OBC candidates – 27%
The CAT exams will be conducted across the country in 156 cities. The cities will be mentioned in the official IIM website, www.iimcat.ac.in . The examination centre and date will be mentioned in the admit card of the candidate.
