CAT aspirants in closed shoes despite guidelines, Navi Mumbai.
According to a circular released by the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, organising institute for CAT (Common Admission Test) 2016, candidates were informed not to wear shoes or any other closed footwear for the exam, to curb malpractice at the exam center. Despite these instructions, one of the CAT 2016 examination centre in Navi Mumbai, allowed candidates to wear closed shoes.
Officials from the examination centre asked the aspirants to remove their closed footwear outside, on the pavement, after they saw PaGaLGuY reporting the issue.
When PaGaLGuY spoke to an officialof the CAT exam center, he said, “Even though some of the students wearing closed footwear are already inside, we will ask them to remove their shoes, and socks, outside the classroom.”
