The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2012 results should be on the official site from 3.00am onwards, January 9. While the time has been officially announced by IIM officials, going by the last few years, CAT results have been out at the stroke of midnight.
About 191,000 candidates will be hoping to get a glimpse of their results on January 9. According to sources in the IIM camp, presently, all efforts are on to keep the CAT site from crashing tomorrow night. Extra precaution has been put in place in this regard.
The database is now secure and even the CAT Convenor Prof SSS Kumar does not have access to the results anymore. A fact confirmed by the professors himself. “Yes, after days of preparing for the results and other related activities that took up so much of the time, the results are now ready. I do not have access to the scores anymore.”
Apparently, the IIM office did receive quite a few complaints about incorrect questions during CAT 2012 and they have been dealt with experts of a high caliber, informed Prof SSS Kumar. “With such a large number of student population taking the test, it is natural that some of them will have complaints with the questions,” the CAT Convenor added.
All the best CAT-takers. Meow!
