No interviews for RBI Assistant 2016, SBI Clerk 2017, IBPS Clerk 2017
In a notification released on February 7, 2017, the Reserve Bank of India has declared that the recruitment process for RBI Assistant 2016 will comprise only of RBI Assistant Preliminary exam and RBI Assistant 2016 Mains exam. No interviews will be conducted for RBI Assistant exam from the year 2016.
RBI has now reviewed the scheme of selection in the light of Office Memorandum No. 39020/01/2013-Estt (B)-Part Government of India, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions dated December 29, 2015 which provides for discontinuation of interview at junior level posts in the Government of India Ministries/Departments/Attached Office/Subordinate Office/Autonomous Bodies/Public Sector Undertakings and decided not to conduct interviews for the current process of Recruitment of Assistants.
The selection of candidates for RBI Assistant 2016 recruitment exam shall now be made on the basis of marks secured in the Phase II Main examination. Prior to the notification, the RBI was supposed to conduct personal interviews for 35 marks for the post of RBI Assistant.
Language Proficiency Test for RBI Assistant 2016
The test shall be of qualifying nature and only those candidates who qualify in the the language proficiency test shall be appointed in the Bank.
The RBI Assistant Exam 2016 notification offered a total of 610 vacancies in the junior clerical cadre, which will now be filled based on the Phase II marks.
