BPSSC (Bihar Police Subordinate Service Commission) has extended the application date for the Daroga candidates from 25th September 2019 to 28th September 2019 mid-night. Due to a large number of candidates applying for the post, the due date has been extended. Around 5 lakh candidates have been applied for the post, the report said.
The exam for the Daroga candidates is likely to be in December 2019. The preparations are underway for conducting the exam. Jammers will be fixed at all centres in the exam. The applications are being taken for the total vacancies of about 2446 posts. Due to the high number of posts, the crowd of candidates applying has increased considerably.
Selection process:
The candidates have to undergo three exams for final selection. First is the preliminary exam in which objective type questions will be asked. The candidates who pass the preliminary exam will be selected for the mains exam (written test). The candidates who pass the mains will have to undergo a physical examination. The Merit of the finally selected candidates will be released based on the marks obtained in the main written exam.
Age limit: (as on 1st January 2019):
- For unreserved general category men: minimum age is 20 years, and the maximum is 37 years.
- For backward and extremely backward class: minimum age is 20 years, and the maximum is 40 years.
- For unreserved category, General, backward, extremely backward class women: minimum age is 20 years, and maximum age is 40 years.
- For SC/ST men and women: the minimum age is 20 years, and the maximum is 42 years.
Educational qualification:
- The candidate must have passed graduation from a recognized university on or before 1st January 2019 or its equivalent exam.
Physical criteria:
Height and weight:
- For unreserved general category, backward and extremely backward class men: the minimum height should be 165 cm.
- For SC and ST men: the minimum height should be 160 cm.
- For unreserved general class, backward and extremely backward class women: the minimum height should be 160 cm, and weight should be 48 kg.
- For SC and ST women: height should be 155 cm, and weight should be 48 kg.
Application fee:
The application fee is Rs.700/- for SC/ST, and Male and Female candidates of extremely backward class, BC, Economically weaker section, and unreserved general class. For women candidates, it is Rs.400/-.
The candidates can apply for the exam through the official website, www.bpssc.bih.nic.in. The last date to apply is 28th September 2019 midnight.
