Bihar Public Service Commission is a body formed to select the civil aspirants for the civil service jobs in the Indian state of Bihar. It is formed by the constitution of India and was formed in 1 st November 1956. The recruitment is done by two methods namely direct recruitment and promotion. In the direct recruitment, it is made by conducting competitive exams in which the selection will be made on the basis of preliminary exam followed by mains written examination and the interview. And the promotion is given to the civil aspirants through the departmental promotion committee (chairmanship of the commission) with the rules framed by the state government of Bihar.

Educational Qualification
- Candidates should have B.E./B.Tech degree in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering from a recognised University/ Institute.
Age Limit
As on 01.08.2018
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 37 years
Application Fee
- For General/OBC & Other state candidates: ₹ 750
- For SC/ST/PH/Women candidates of Bihar State: ₹ 200
Selection Procedure
- Final selection for the post of Assistant Engineer will comprise of two stages i.e Compulsory exam and optional exam (mains).
