The Bombay High Court has welcome application for filling up the vacancies for the positions of Shorthand Writer (Higher Grade), Junior Translator & Interpreter and Cook. Those who are interested in these jobs can apply through the prescribed format on or before 22 November 2019.

Educational Qualification:
- Shorthand Writer (Higher Grade):
The candidate must hold a Degree from any recognized university; priority will be given to the candidates having Degree in Law. This condition of University Degree will be relaxed if the candidate is previously working for not less than 5 years as Lower Grade Stenographer in High Court or any other Court/Tribunal or the office of Advocate General or Government Pleader.
The candidate shall also have a Knowledge of Marathi as it is desired. The Candidates must have a Government commercial certificate conducted by Government Board or I.T.I. or any distinguished Institute for Speed of 100 words per minute in English Shorthand and 40 words per minute in English Typing.
- Junior Translator & Interpreter:
The candidate should have a Degree in languages like English, Hindi, Marathi, and Gujarati, priority will be passed to candidates who are holders of Degree in Law.
The Candidates must be expertise in English and at least any two of the following languages viz. Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, and Konkani.
The candidate should have Knowledge in operating Computer i.e. M.Sc. (IT) Certificate or DOEACC’s, CCC, O, A, ‘B’ or ‘C’ level Certificate or CDAC’s 6months Diploma Certificate or Degree or Diploma in Computer Application from recognized University.
- Clerk:
The candidate shall hold a Degree from any acknowledged university, priority will be given to candidates having Degree in Law.
The applicants must be qualified Government Commercial Certificate Examination or Examination administered by Government Board or I.T.I. or any distinguished Institute for English Typing with speed of 40 words per minute. Knowledge in operating Computer i.e. MSC (IT) or DOEACC’s, CCC, O, A, B or C level Certificate or CDAC’s 6 months Diploma Certificate or Degree or Diploma in Computer Application from any recognized University.
The candidate should have a Knowledge of Konkani.
- Cook:
The candidate should have passed at least IV Standard Examination. Priority will be given to the applicants with higher educational qualifications (subject to the shortlisting criteria being applied as the prescribed by the Bombay High Court).
He or she also need to have knowledge and experience in cooking and Knowledge of Konkani.

Application Procedure:
The Interested candidates required to send their applications in the prescribed format with self-attested copies of educational, experience, age, caste and other documents to address given in the notification.
Registrar (Administration), High Court of Bombay in Goa, Panaji, Goa- 403001 latest by 22 November 2019. Applications shall be accepted only by RPAD or Speed Post.
