We are living in interesting times. Forces from seemingly unrelated fields affect a business. Uncertainty is no longer an exceptional item but is a norm that must be embraced with wisdom. Not only do managers have to be knowledgeable and skillful, they also need to have a 360° view on developments around the world as they cannot know what forces from which corners of the world will come around and destabilise their business. For example, who would have thought Uber, a mobile application developed in San Francisco, U.S., would create a market storm within the taxi industry present in remote towns of India! Who would have thought that a yoga guru could upset the mammoth consumer goods markets in India so rapidly! Such is the destructive power of ideas flying in these days from various parts of the world! Only the managers equipped with a mindset that can handle and make use of these unpredictable global forces will survive and flourish.
The School of Management at Bennett University will develop a similar mindset in you as you progress through our MBA curriculum.
We will educate you on traditional MBA core classes, such as marketing and finance, and will also present methods to tackle forces emanating from other areas: law, computer science, media, entrepreneurship, and engineering. Being part of Bennett University, MBA students will have the benefit of being taught by faculty specializing in the above areas. We have law professors teaching the laws affecting business, computer science professors teaching you the impact of AI and IOT on business, professors from the School of Media teaching you advertising, and experts from the Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship teaching you risk-taking.
Furthermore, we believe that the future lies in interdisciplinary working and hence, students from various areas can work together to solve complex problems that require inputs from multiple disciplines. MBA students will often be working with engineering students and law students in joint projects, which will allow for different perspectives to unite in a common goal.
What’s more? MBA students will be able to work with students from the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business on joint projects concerning global issues that affect multiple stakeholders including firms, governments, consumers in various countries, and global environment.
Thanks to Times Group and their 178-year corporate legacy, we enable MBA students to develop a strong interaction with leading companies by arranging internships in a wide variety of areas, inviting guest speakers such as corporate CXOs to come give talks on campus, and designing real projects with companies for students to work on.
We have designed our MBA program while keeping all these factors in mind and by working closely with the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business.
Students will be able to study and immerse themselves into the rich Ivy League environment of Cornell. Professors from Cornell University will also be coming to teach on our campus, bringing home global thoughts as part of the MBA program.
This is what we call a holistic MBA – a degree unparalleled in India!
