Dear readers,
As you all are aware, already that Bank of Baroda has issued the notification, for 1 year Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance course in Baroda Manipal School of Banking from Manipal University or any other institute in other part of the country.
Many of you have applied and will apply for this programme. A candidate should know the pattern and syllabus of the exam, to qualify and to score good marks. So in order to help in your preparation, we are presenting you the detail pattern and syllabus of the exam.
Selection process in one year PGD (B&F) course based on two phases:
1. Online Exam
2. Group Discussion & Personal Interview
Pattern of the Online Exam:
Name of the test:
1. Reasoning – Total Qs – 50 Maximum Marks – 50
2. Quantitative Aptitude – Total Qs 50 Maximum Marks – 50
3. English Language – Total Qs 50 Maximum Marks – 50
4. General Awareness (With special reference to Banking Industry) – Total Qs 50 Maximum Marks – 50
Note:
1. Candidates are required to obtain a minimum score in each test and also a minimum total score in the online test to be shortlisted for interview.
2. Candidates will be shortlisted for interview depending on the number of vacancies, cut-off in each test and online test as decided by the Bank
3. There is a negative mark of for each wrong answer. 1/4th of marks assigned to that question) for the online test.

I. Reasoning – In Reasoning section questions are asked from different topics which are as follows:

6. Data Sufficiency
II. Quantitative Aptitude: In Quant section questions are asked from different topics which are as follows:
1. Data Interpretation

3. Profit & Loss
4. Time & Work
5. Series
6. Simplification
7. Time & Distance
8. Partnership
9. Ratio & Proportion
10. Problem on Ages
III. English Language: In English Language section questions are asked from different topics which are as follows:
1. Reading Comprehension
2. Spotting Error
3. Fill in the blank
4. Cloze test
5. Para-Jumbles
IV. General Awareness – In GA section questions are asked from different topics which are occurred in last three or four months.
1. News related to Reserve Bank of India
2. Banking Awareness
3. Financial Awareness (Union Budget/ Railway Budget)
4. Economics news
5. Current Affairs – Questions can be asked from various fields such as: National, International, Awards, Sports, Defence, Summits, Appointment, Books & Authors and Obituary etc.
