The Andhra Pradesh state government has decided to remove separate objective type question paper also known as bit paper from the SSC annual examinations. The decision has been taken to end malpractices. Government has also decided to remove 20 marks internal assessment as it was only to help corporate institutions. Instead of all these, short answer questions will be included in the main paper.
At the beginning of the examinations, candidates will be provided an 18-page booklet with the answer sheet. The state education minister stated that the board have decided to revamp the entire structure in order to improve education quality. The board has also decided to increase the exam duration to 2 hours 45 minutes from 2 hours 30 minutes. Candidates can get more updates on http://bseap.org/.
The mark distribution as per the current pattern is:
- Four essay type questions each of 5 marks.
- Eight short answer type questions each of 2 marks.
- Eight very short type questions each of 1 mark.
- 12 brief answer type questions each of half mark.
As per the education minister, this change in the pattern will be intimated to the students much prior to the examination in order to avoid any type of confusion.
