The AP Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET) is conducted by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) Kakinada. This is an annual entrance examination held for B.Tech/B.Sc/B.Pharm admissions. The registration for the exam was announced on the 28th of February, 2018 and came to an end on 29th of March without late fee. However, it can be submitted till the 21st of April with an additional late fee.
The AP EAMCET Hall Ticket 2018 was released on 18th April 2018 and it is available for download from the homepage of JNTU website. This examination is one of the major entrances for agriculture and engineering in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The Telangana government takes a lot of measures in the state to conduct the examination without any difficulty. In the previous years, about 2 lakh aspirants from both the states have appeared for the examination. This year the number is expected to reach about 3 lakh.
The preparations for the AP EAMCET test will include the clear understating of the concepts learnt in class 11 and 12. The engineering candidates will have to focus on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Each part will be of 40 marks each. There is no negative marking for the examination. For the students appearing for the Medical stream, should go through the all concepts in Biology, Physics and Chemistry. As the exam is conducted at the end of April, candidates will have a lot of time to go through all the concepts once again before the examination. There are 7 engineering streams offered by the JNTU and the cut off for every stream varies every year. Also, 60 seats are allotted for each stream. The counselling procedures start as soon as the results are released in May. The medical counselling will take place after some months after the engineering is over.
