An Egyptian Sojourn

I consider myself extremely lucky to have visited Egypt which is home to one of the oldest civilizations of the world. Here’s a sneak peak into my journey with some of my favourite photographs from the journey. This dates back to January 2010.

Taken early in the morning, the winter fog falls like a blanket on the pyramids.

This one is taken right next to the pyramids, its a cold wintery Egyptian morning where the camels wander around with locals and tourists.

The sun is out and makes the Sphinx and the Pyramids glow under its gaze. The tourists and the locals add colour.

That’s taken from a ship during the Nile Cruise. Look how wonderful the waters of the Nile look. You can see Cairo city behind. The ship is on it’s way to Aswan and Luxor.

That’s taken from a horse cart in Aswan, Egypt.

That’s tea served to us at a native village visited during the Nile cruise. The imagery in the tablecloth is fascinating.

This last one’s the magnificent Temple of Kom Ombo at Luxor, Egypt.
