SIMSR’s Alumni Committee connected with our alumnus from the batch of 1994-96, Mr. Arvind Sharmaa who is currently HR Director at Black & Veatch. With over two decades of rich industry experience, Mr Arvind considers getting recognition from the chairman of his former company at the very beginning of his career as his most cherished moment.
Mr. Arvind believes that recruiters look for knowledge and right attitude, and any candidate must have a proper mix of these two. His simplicity and genuineness makes him approachable and the go-to person for the employees.
Recollecting his learning at SIMSR, he says that SIMSR taught him the importance of soft-skills and interpersonal capabilities in an organization. Having a vision and then working hard to achieve it is what he advises budding managers.
