With several European companies showing a keen interest in the Indian market and Indian companies starting operations abroad, the demand for qualified management professionals is consistently growing. To cater to this demand, Manipal University has been offering the Masters in European Studies & Management (MESM) program in partnership with Hochschule Bremen University of Applied Sciences and T A Pai Management Institute (TAPMI).
The two years, full-time Masters Program is offered by Manipal Centre for European Studies (MCES), which was inaugurated with a funding from the Delegation of European as part of the India-EU Study Centres Programme (IESCP). MCES has also established long standing relationships through Memoranda of Understanding with several universities across Europe including University of Latvia, University of Warsaw and Metropolitan University Prague among others.

The Masters program includes a study tour to Europe with a visit to partner university campuses. This years batch of students and faculty members of Manipal University left for a study tour on June 3, 2011. Their itinerary includes visits to Hochschule Bremen, Freie University Berlin (Germany) and Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen (The Netherlands) and Group T International University, Leuven (Belgium).
The team of students will also make industry visits to the offices of Mercedes, Volkswagon and Airbus. About the importance of this study tour Dr. Neeta Inamdar, Head of MCES, says, This trip will play a crucial role in our students understanding of international and European business environments. This will also be a wonderful platform for exchange of ideas in supporting Small Scale Industries in and around Manipal and enhance their cooperation with similar SMEs in Europe.

Eligibility: Indian Nationals can apply under the General category. Foreign nationals or Non Resident Indians or Indian nationals supported by NRI relatives can apply under the Foreign/NRI category. The Candidate must have passed Bachelors degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (preference given to the candidates with work experience).
