When all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said: “If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is normal for each of you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress. What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the best cups and were eyeing each other’s cups. Now if life is coffee, then the jobs, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain Life, but the quality of Life doesn’t change. Some times, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee in it.”
So, don’t let only the cups drive you… enjoy the coffee!!!!!!

COFFEE WITH SIBM
With the number of B schools, and B school aspirants, rising every year, it is justifiable that the number of queries that people have about doing an MBA are many. The Admissions & Student Relations Team at SIBM brings to you a unique session where you can get queries about SIBM answered, one on one, student to student, face to face. Of course, the whole session shall be as informal as it can get. And how much more informal can you get than meeting over a cup of coffee?
The event had huge turnouts in the four cities –
Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Pune. Pune recorded the highest turnout with 330 MBA aspirants meeting SIBM students. The questions ranged from SNAP queries, to placements to a typical day at SIBM and life after SIBM! Some of the aspirants asked for more information on the unique features of SIBM like YMDP – which is the Young Managers Development Program, where students passing out of SIBM are supported through a network of alumni and Management Development Programs.
The situation was similar in Chennai, Delhi and Mumbai where the aspirant community made most of the opportunity and the turnouts were in hundreds! This does not include the hundreds of mails we got for not conducting the event in cities like Bangalore, Hyderabad etc!
All the best for the examinations, Coffee With SIBM will see you next year in your city!
