Seven students from Allen Career institute – 6 from Kota and 1 from Bhilwara – have been selected for the state level round of the national Bal Shree Honour competition.
The National Bal Shree Honour, an award project run by the Ministry of HRD, is undertaken by the Dept. of Education Research under NCERT, and is conducted by the National Bal Bhavan in 3 rounds. Bal Bhavan is an institution that aims to enhance children’s creative potential by providing them with activities, opportunities and platforms to interact, experiment, create and perform as per their age, aptitude and ability. The top 80 students finally selected at the national level are honoured by the President of India with the Bal Shree trophy, certificates and scholarships.
The state level round will be held in New Delhi on November 2 – 3, 2015. Brajesh Maheshwari, director, Allen Career Institute, said, “16 students were selected in the District Level round, of which 7 are regular classroom students at Allen’s Pre-Nurture & Career Foundation division (PNCF). Khushboo Gupta (class 7) and Rajani Garg (class 10) have been selected for Creative Art, Vrinda Celly (class 10) for Creative Writing, Abhinav Teotia (class 10) and Saksham Yagnik (class 9) for Creative Performance, and Ayushman Tripathi (class 9) and Vineet Dargar ( class 10 ) have been selected for Creative Scientific Innovation.”
Amit Gupta, Head, Allen PNCF, mentioned that they offer courses for various competitive exams & Olympiads for students from 6th to 10th standards. They foster creative art, scientific innovation, competitive temperament, divergent thinking and sports competence through classroom contact programs and workshops. This is not the first time Allen students have succeeded at Bal Shree honours. Megha Gupta, Srishthi Asthana, Vaidehi Rakholia & Pranjal Pramod, all students of Allen, won the award in 2014.
